(OurNationNews.com) RFK Jr. issued harsh criticism of the two-party system and the DNC following news that President Biden would relinquish the Democratic party nomination to pave the way for Vice President Kamala Harris to take on Donald Trump in November. In a press conference, RFK said he predicted the continued downfall of President Biden’s mental acuity that would prevent him from performing the duties of the office.
RFK initially attempted to run for the Democratic party nomination, but faced hurdles in the process. That caused him to announce a third-party run for president so that he could be sure to compete in the general election. During the press conference, RFK said the DNC used their power to control the process and prevent anybody from exposing President Biden’s mental limitations. He said their decisions have led to the crisis situation that faces the party and the country today.
RFK also took on Donald Trump’s campaign during the conference and said he will represent corporate interests in the White House rather than the American people. In comparing Trump to Biden, RFK said they have very different dispositions and strategies. He said the actual policy differences between the two campaigns is very narrow, despite their varied approaches to campaigning.
Reports have come forth regarding a post-assassination conversation between RFK and Donald Trump. While some reports indicate that RFK was considering dropping out of the race to endorse Trump in exchange for a position within a Trump administration, RFK denies those reports. He said the conversation was about unity and discussing commonalities between the policy proposals of the two candidates.
A portion of the phone call was leaked without authorization from either candidate. Trump can be heard offering RFK a position within his administration as well as discussing the harms of vaccines on babies. RFK apologized for the leak and said in another interview that it would be a violation of Trump’s trust to publicly declare what the two discussed in their hours-long conversation.
