(OurNationNews.com) John Kerry used an alternative email address while he was serving as Secretary of State under President Obama. Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson were informed of this information by whistleblowers and have sent a letter to Secretary Anthony Blinken to ask whether Kerry complied with relevant federal records laws while he was serving as secretary.
In the letter, Grassley and Johnson asked whether the alternative email address used by Kerry was included in relevant FOIA requests. The two senators also mentioned their calls for transparency and concerns regarding compliance with relevant federal records laws. They mentioned that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also broke federal laws when she used a non-government server to conduct official government business.
In the same letter, the senators mentioned Joe Biden’s use of an alternative email address to conduct government business when he was serving as vice president. The letter states that the Biden administration has not responded to the concerns regarding the president’s compliance with federal records laws under his previous position in the Obama administration.
Biden sent emails equating to 82,000 pages via private email communication. The emails that he used include “[email protected]” and “[email protected].” Only a few of those emails have been released. James Comer, the House Oversight Committee chairman, pointed to emails between Biden and his son’s business partners as being significant to the impeachment of Biden. Despite the importance of seeing those emails, the provided communication was heavily redacted.
Whistleblowers told Grassley and Johnson that Secretary Kerry attempted to block the execution of arrest warrants by the FBI to illegal immigrants who were allegedly providing support to Iran to build weapons of mass destruction. Senator Grassley expressed his concerns about Kerry potentially mishandling classified information while communicating with the foreign minister of Iran after leaving his role as secretary of state. Grassley and Johnson also requested all records relating to the email address in question that involved government business or discussions with foreign leaders.
