(OurNationNews.com) Iconic guitarist Slash announced that his stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, has passed away at the age of 25.
In a statement posted on the musician’s social media, he said that Knight “passed away peacefully” on July 19 in Los Angeles. Meegan Hodges, the girl’s mother and Slash’s girlfriend, also posted the same statement on her own social media account.
The cause of death was not indicated in the statement and the family is asking for privacy and requesting that the public refrain from speculating on the cause of Knight’s death.
Media-obtained records from the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office indicate that Knight died at a private residence in the LA. The manner of her passing has yet to be determined and additional investigation needs to be made before a cause of death can be declared. The status of Knight’s remains are “ready for release” but an investigator has also been assigned to her case.
Also, in a seeming unwillingness to go gentle into the night, an ostensibly scheduled but mysterious post was published on her Instagram account following her death.
The post alluded to an unnamed person whom, Knight said, she made to feel “excluded, manipulated/ controlled” and even forced to quit their job while she was, she admits, in a comfortable position of financial support from her parents. She also lamented what was presumably her “disgustingly big ego” and a fear of vulnerability that resulted in “countless missed opportunities and connections.”
“May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace,” Knight concluded in her cryptic post.
The 58-year-old Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, previously dated Hodges in the late 80s, but separated. He went on to marry Perla Ferrar, whom he has two children with, both of whom are adults now. After he filed for divorce from Ferrar in 2014, he and Hodges got back together again. Hudson and Ferrar finalized their divorce in 2018.
