Pelosi Attacks Supreme Court Disagrees With Rulings

(OurNationNews.com) Former House Speaker and Democratic California Representative Nancy Pelosi had some choice words for the Supreme Court in a recent interview, saying that she has “lost confidence” in the country’s highest court, one that she claims has “gone rogue”.

In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, the California representative blasted the decisions of the Supreme Court, saying that many of the justices are enforcing their personal points of view, rather than upholding the Constitution of the United States.

“I don’t have confidence in the Supreme Court,” Pelosi said. “They vote their opinion on policy” rather than stick to the tenets and meaning of the law, she reasoned further.

The Supreme Court, which is currently made up of a conservative supermajority, is currently experiencing a slump in terms of public approval levels. Public approval of the highest court in the land stands at a mere 41% — to put that more into perspective, the Supreme Court’s record low approval rating is at 40%.

The court has been in the news a lot in recent months, given the overturning of Roe vs. Wade last year, as well as its current task – among many – of evaluating the claims of former president Donald Trump that all his actions during his tenure as President of the United States is subject to executive privilege and thus exempt from prosecution.

In addition, several conservative Supreme Court justices have also been embroiled controversy. Justice Clarence Thomas is being accused of violating ethics protocols after it was discovered that he had accepted gifts from wealthy conservative donors, which came in the form of luxury trips and travel perks. Justice Samuel Alito, on the other hand, is being called out for flying the U.S. flag upside down outside his home in the aftermath of the January 6, 2021 riots in the Capitol, as well as for flying another banner associated with January 6 extremists.
