MAGA Ally Bannon Slams Trumps College Graduate Green Card Idea

(OurNationNews.com) Steve Bannon, the former chief strategist for Donald Trump’s administration, slammed Trump’s idea that college graduates should receive an automatic green card. Bannon stressed that America doesn’t have the money to lift up the people of the world and participate in forever wars. He said we should accept foreign nationals on a selective basis to attend college in the United States.

After that, Bannon said, they should go back to their own country so they can help make that a great place to live. Bannon said most people want to go back to the country where they are from. He said we want all of the nations of the earth to be great like America, so it is important for smart college graduates to contribute to the economies where they are from.

Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies also disagreed with the broad nature of Trump’s initial proposal. Krikorian said he would agree with providing green cards to foreign nationals who graduate from American universities if they major in hard sciences. He said that it would not be in America’s best interest to give a green card to any foreign graduate from a “bogus” two-year college or gender studies majors.

Chris Chmielenski of the Immigration Accountability Project said offering green cards to all college graduates would significantly reduce wages for everyone. He said the proposal would only help business owners who would like to have “cheap labor.”

The plan received intense scrutiny from online social media users as well. Some of the comments state that issuing green cards to foreign college graduates will only increase competition for American citizens attending these universities. Trump specifically said the plan would also apply to those who attend junior colleges and graduate with a diploma.

Some media outlets have criticized the proposal as indicative of Trump’s record of making bold promises and not following through. It is believed that this is a strategy to obtain more support from migrants during the presidential election campaign.
