(OurNationNews.com) Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has called for all presidential nominees to receive a cognitive exam to ensure they are able to complete the tasks of the job. Graham referred to Biden’s mental acuity as a “wake-up call” to the country that anyone who may become president should be tested for this election and going into the future. Graham also indicated that everyone in succession to become president should also be tested.
Graham said the debate performance was eye-opening for himself and the general public. He added that he is concerned about Biden’s ability to be the commander-in-chief for the next four months leading up to the election. He said it was offensive that people think Biden shouldn’t take a cognitive test after multiple incidents point to a mental deficiency for the current sitting president. He added that Trump should also receive the same cognitive test to help put everyone’s minds at ease.
Graham also said he believes Biden will be replaced, and Vice President Kamala Harris will be the likely choice. The senator thinks Republicans need to be prepared in the case that Biden is swapped out for Harris, because the race will change dramatically as a result.
California Representative Adam Schiff said he thinks both Trump and Biden should submit to a cognitive test. He added that if Trump did take such a test, it would likely show he has some kind of serious illness. Schiff added that Biden will have to decide if he is moving forward as the nominee. If he does, Schiff said he should run a good campaign to defeat Trump in the general election. If Biden decides to step aside as the party’s nominee, Schiff thinks Biden should do everything he can to help his replacement win the election in November.
Dr. Sanjay Gupta said he was concerned with the rambling and loss of concentration during the debate. Gupta called for a thorough cognitive test of President Biden in the aftermath of his debate performance.
