Hunter Biden Suing Fox News Over Image Rights

(OurNationNews.com) The legal team of presidential son Hunter Biden is suing Fox News over a number of images of him used by the network in a streaming series.

The images were used in the Fox Nation streaming service, in a series entitled “The Trial of Hunter Biden,” which came out in 2022. A part of the series featured a “mock trial” of the presidential son – on presumptive charges of bribery and making illegal deals with foreign governments. To date, Hunter has not been charged with any of these crimes.

The show also used images of the younger Biden, which the lawsuit claims were of an intimate nature, showing him in a state of undress and allegedly engaged in sexual activity.

The case was filed in the Manhattan state court in New York.

Hunter’s legal team is using New York’s “revenge porn” law as the basis for their case, alleging that Fox Nation spread “intimate” images of their client without his consent.

The lawsuit accuses Fox of spreading the images to millions of viewers in an attempt to “humiliate, harass, annoy and alarm” as well as “tarnish” the reputation of the presidential son.

Hunter’s lawyers also sent a cease-and-desist letter to Fox in April, demanding that the show be pulled off the air.

On their end, a spokesperson for Fox called the suit “entirely politically motivated” and said that it was “devoid of merit.” The spokesperson said that Hunter was a public figure and has been subject to “multiple investigations and is now a convicted felon”, with the network only exercising its First Amendment rights and using its own coverage of the younger Biden’s circumstances and situation. The network also noted that it had acceded to Biden’s demands, and removed the show from its streaming service “within days” of receiving the letter from his lawyers.

“We look forward to vindicating our rights in court,” the Fox spokesperson said.
