ER Doctor At Shooting Shares Efforts To Save Victim’s Life

(OurNationNews.com) An emergency room doctor attempted life-saving medical care at a Donald Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on June 13. During the rally, shots rang out and clipped the former president in the ear while also taking the life of one of the rally-goers. The doctor said the audience member was shot in the head and brain matter was present on the bleachers.

The doctor did chest compressions and CPR in an attempt to save the man’s life. Two people are dead following the event, which included the rally-goer and the shooter. Donald Trump was brought to the ground by the Secret Service and stood up after a short time when the shooter had been shot dead. Trump raised his fist in the air as blood streamed down his face from the shot that hit his ear. Trump was fine and has since attended the Republican National Convention where he announced his Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his running mate.

Corey Comperatore, a 50-year old firefighter, was the lone fatality at the event aside from the shooter. Comperatore was attending the event with his wife and daughters. His daughter Allyson recalled the details of her father throwing his wife Helen to the ground and shielding her from the bullets. He protected his family from the bullet and died in the process.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro honored Comperatore and said he was a hero. Helen Comperatore said her husband was a simple man that always put his family first. She said that President Biden attempted to call her, but she was not interested in speaking with him. The widowed wife does not place blame on Biden for the events that led to her husband’s death, but she said Corey wouldn’t have wanted her to speak with him.

She added that it was a despicable kid that took the life of her husband and the president was not responsible. Two separate GoFundMe pages were set up to raise funds for the Comperatore family and have raised more than $5 million.
