The Biden administration’s idea of border security is about as effective as using a sieve to bail out the Titanic. While they’re busy playing catch-and-release with potential threats, the rest of us are left wondering if national security has become a game of Russian roulette. But let’s cut through the noise and get to the cold, hard facts that should have every patriotic American sitting up straight.
The Border Chaos: By the Numbers
The Southwest border is in a state of crisis, with Border Patrol agents sounding the alarm. Over 1.7 million known “gotaways” have slipped through the cracks, and that’s likely an underestimate. In fiscal year 2023 alone, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) arrested 35,433 illegal aliens with criminal convictions and 598 known gang members. But here’s the kicker: 294 individuals on the terrorist watchlist have been apprehended since the beginning of FY 2021.
99 illegals on the FBI terror watchlist released into the US.

“Border security is national security, and right now, the border is not secure. When upwards of two million people have entered our country, whom we know nothing about, we are at deadly risk.” – Chairman Mark E. Green, MD
The Terror Watch List Dilemma
The Biden administration’s handling of potential terror threats is nothing short of alarming. At least 99 illegal immigrants whose identities matched the terrorism watch list were released into the U.S. from 2021 through 2023. These individuals came from 36 countries, including known terror hotspots like Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.
FBI Director Christopher Wray has expressed grave concern about the rising insertion of terrorists into the U.S. through the immigration system. The situation is so dire that even Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas had to admit, “If an individual is on the terrorist screening dataset, and they pose a threat to national security or public safety, they are a priority for detention.”
The Drug Crisis: A Silent Killer
While the threat of terrorism looms, a more immediate danger is ravaging American communities. CBP reported seizing 27,293 pounds of fentanyl, estimated to be only 5-10% of the total smuggled across the border. The consequences are devastating, with over 100,000 Americans dying from drug overdoses in the past year, mostly due to fentanyl and other synthetic opioids.
“The increased supply of fentanyl and variations in its production during the last year have increased the lethality of an already deadly drug, a trend likely to persist in 2024″ – Homeland Threat Assessment
A Call for Action
The Biden administration’s border policies have left America vulnerable. With interior security checkpoints closed and Border Patrol agents overwhelmed, the cartels are emboldened, and dangerous individuals are slipping through. It’s time for a serious reevaluation of our border security strategies before it’s too late. The safety and security of the American people must come first.
