Biden 2024 Replacement Frontrunners Listed

(OurNationNews.com) “Let me say this as clearly as I can: I’m the sitting President of the United States. I’m the nominee of the Democratic party. I’m staying in the race.”

That was President Joe Biden’s statement amid rumors that his first debate with former president Donald Trump has raised concerns among Democrats that he is no longer fit to serve a second term in the White House. Democrats are reportedly secretly looking for possible replacements to take up the standard-bearer mantle for the party, as many voters – including those who typically vote Democrat – have expressed that they may not choose Biden come the elections in November, citing fears that he no longer has the mental aptitude and capability to run the United States for another four years.

Democrat donors, especially, are reportedly concerned over how Biden performed at the last debate, saying that “no one will pay attention to Trump’s lies” anymore given how horrible Biden’s performance was.

“Biden needs to drop out. No question about it,” the donor reportedly told one of the Biden campaign’s advisers.

As such, many are looking at possible alternatives for the Democratic presidential nomination.

The first of course, is Vice President Kamala Harris. While she has been a stabilizing and constantly supportive force behind Biden, she has said in the past that she is ready to step up should the need arise. Approval ratings for the vice president is at an all-time low, however, and polls show her trailing Trump by two percentage points. Still, that hasn’t stopped some donors and supporters to float her name as a possible presidential nominee.

Other names include Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and California Governor Gavin Newsom. Both have expressed support of Biden, however. Polls have them a little lower down than Vice President Harris, with Whitmer garnering 42% support among voters versus Trump’s 47%, and Newsom getting 43% support as opposed to the former chief executive’s 48%.
