(OurNationNews.com) -One of the stars from the Netflix hit science fiction flick “Rebel Moon” was arrested recently for almost killing his ex-girlfriend by stabbing her repeatedly.
Police arrested 34-year-old actor Nick Pasqual in what appeared to be an attempt to flee the U.S. into Mexico, at a border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas.
Authorities had issued an arrest warrant against Pasqual after he was accused to stabbing his former girlfriend, Allie Shehorn, at her home in the Sunland neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. Prosecutors say that Pasqual broke into Shehorn’s home at around 4:30am on May 23, and then proceeded to stab the victim multiple times. He managed to escape before police arrived at the scene.
Shehorn was found by a housemate, Christine White, who said that the aftermath of the attack “wasn’t a pretty sight.” White, who described herself as Shehorn’s surrogate mother of sorts, was also in the house at the time of the attack.
The victim sustained more than 20 stab wounds to her neck, arms, and abdomen. She survived the ordeal but is still fighting for her life in the hospital, according to friends and loved ones who have provided updates on her condition. They have also set up a GoFundMe page for her medical expenses.
Shehorn, 35, is a make-up and prosthetics artist who has worked on projects such as “Babylon”, a star-studded 2022 black comedy; and the 2024 remake of “Mean Girls.” She had previously sought a restraining order against Pasqual, claiming that in January this year, he hit her with a belt, and that he assaulted and raped her in another incident in April.
Pasqual is being charged with attempted murder; as well as injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or child’s parent; and first-degree residential burglary with person present. His arraignment has yet to be scheduled, but he faces a maximum penalty of life in prison if found guilty.
